FŌTERA® Concrete Terrazzo
2009
Created from FŌTERA® concrete terrazzo mural depicts a triumphant Justice holding her scales high in front of Prince George’s County Courthouse, which was nearly destroyed by a historic fire. Though her eyes are covered with a cloth, her right hand cups her ear, showing that even though Justice is blind, she listens.
The gnarled copper frame surrounding the mural is made from copper pieces salvaged from the original Courthouse roof. Despite fire damage or other adversity, Justice will prevail in the end.
