A FŌTERA® concrete terrazzo mural illustrating the life of Robert H. Goddard caps the 71’ long bench lining the length of the courtyard. In the center of the courtyard, Goddard’s original rocket tower is surrounded by a concrete enclosure that includes a quotation by Goddard on his aspirations for space. At the far end of the space, a larger-than-life bronze statue of Goddard peers through a “spotting” telescope at the rocket tower.
