This cast-stone sculptural fireplace was commissioned for a private residence. The homeowner came up with the idea for a horse and left the rest to Weitzman’s imagination. The horse appears to be leaning over to drink from a pool of water at the base of the fireplace, made from Green Belgium Limestone.

Often called the “First Lady of Civil Rights,” this bust portrays Rosa Parks as she was during her famous bus sit-in demonstration on December 1, 1955. Ms. Parks helped spark a Civil Rights movement that remains as a signpost for future generations of all peoples to come.

This 5.5’ x 6.5’ larger-than-life cast-stone sculpture of two children captured in an intimate moment of secret-sharing or story-telling is the focal point of the children’s play area. It is a symbol of childhood and embraces the dynamic yet sacred sphere of a child’s playground.

This bas-relief concrete wall proposal for the Columbia Heights Metro stop in D.C. highlights the original 1800’s horse racetrack that was located at the current metro site. Dynamic reliefs of horses that gallop up the wall as visitors ride up and down the escalator commemorate the historic racetrack.
